Confidential 8-Figure Settlement in Premises Slip & Fall
Businesses that are open to the public have to be very cognizant of all of their spaces to ensure the safety of their customers. One such customer visited the restroom at a well-known company and, upon entering, stepped on the metal threshold and her feet went right out from under her. It turns out the cleaning company had used a stainless steel cleaner on the metal and left it extremely slippery. The woman suffered a myriad injuries, including a TBI; several maxillofacial fractures; cervical, lumbar, and sacral disc herniations; left shoulder SLAP tear, rotator cuff tear, sprain, and more; left distal radius fracture; plus contusions and hemorrhaging in both her left cheek and left hip. She retained Claggett & Sykes Law Firm, working with Josh Dowling.
Mr. Dowling is very familiar with Focus Graphics’ work, and reached out for a whole suite of exhibits. We worked with him to define the best choices, and he ended up doing colorizations of much of the imaging of her injuries, like pre- and post-op images of her fractures and her disc herniations. It was also decided to do animations of several of her procedures and a brain deficit animation, as well as an overall injury summary and pain management summary. Mr. Dowling knew they needed to show up strong to settlement discussions, and he was right. With his arsenal of visual exhibits, he was able to settle the case, ensuring his client is able to continue receiving care for her severe injuries.
